Data Scientist

About the role

As a Data Scientist at Haus, you will shape the future of how we can enable businesses to grow more effectively.  Being an early employee, you will collaborate with the entire team at Haus, influencing both product, business and engineering decisions to provide the most value for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Create the taxonomy of entities and relationships between Haus and disparate data platforms: e.g. Google Analytics, Facebook Ads, Salesforce CRM.

  • Ensure that the taxonomy supports the goal of generating real time analytics that can scale to support hundreds of platforms and millions of businesses.

  • Work with large and complex data sets to solve a wide array of challenging problems using different analytical and statistical approaches.

  • Apply technical expertise with quantitative analysis, experimentation, data mining, and the presentation of data to develop strategies for our products that serve our customers.

  • Define, understand, and test opportunities and levers to improve the product, and drive roadmaps through your insights and recommendations.

Minimum Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS)

  • A minimum of 4 years of work experience in analytics (minimum of 2 years with a Ph.D.)

  • Experience with data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python), and/or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R)

 

Backend Engineer

About the role

Do high scale distributed systems and working on complex problems and high impact projects excite you?  At Haus, we are building the an analytics and reporting platform that will need to ingest and process large amounts of data and report significant insights to customers.  If the opportunity to work on tools that enable people to make the right marketing choices better than they ever have before, then Haus is the place for you. 

Responsibilities

  • Design core, backend software components

  • Work closely with our data scientist(s) to ensure Haus can scale to hundreds of supported platforms and millions of users

  • Manage cloud infrastructure and deployments

  • Code using primarily Python & R

  • Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources

Minimum Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS)

  • 4+ years of programming experience in either Python, Java, C# or other relevant coding languages

  • 2+ years relevant experience building large-scale infrastructure applications or similar experience

  • Experience designing, analyzing and improving efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources

 

Full Stack Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Full stack web application development with a variety of languages including but not limited to Python, JavaScript, HTML, etc.

  • Create consumer products and features using the React framework

  • Implement web or mobile interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

  • Work closely with our PM and design teams to define feature specifications

  • Work closely with our other engineers to build and scale back-end services

Minimum Requirements

  • B.S. Computer Science or related technical field

  • 4+ years of experience with web technologies: JavaScript, HTML, CSS

  • 2+ years experience with React

  • 2+ years experience developing API services using technologies such as Python, Java, etc

  • 2+ years of experience with relational databases and SQL
